Real Wedding | Outdoor and Natural Style | Sam & Sophia

Sophia and Sam perfected the outdoor and natural look when styling their October wedding in the mountains of La Paz, Bolivia. Set in the grounds of Sophia’s family hacienda home, oozing with Colonial Spanish charm, it was the perfect setting for inviting a truly international guest list.

The day started in the cobbled courtyard with flower girls and page boys leading the procession down the red carpet to the chapel. Bridesmaids wore blue and white floral dresses and carried small bouquets with blush peach and pink tones.  The bride and groom exchanged vows in the small family chapel with additional guests watching via TV in the courtyard decorated with flowers and swathes of fabric overhead for shade.

The wedding party then moved through the naturally stunning gardens filled with beautiful sculptural elements, finally making their way to the wedding reception marquee. The perfect choice for an outdoor and natural style wedding!

A traditional wedding breakfast was served under a 12m by 34m large canvas and pole marquee with guests seated at long banquet style rows straight onto a natural grass floor. This is our favourite type of floor,  a real nod to bringing the outside in and ideal for the natural style that Sophia & Sam were looking for when they were styling their wedding.

Flowers provided pops of colour throughout the marquee around the handmade wooden king poles supplemented with tall table decorations. Hand pressed flowers also featured on the cake, table numbers and pretty seating plan.

The bride’s own large bird cages were suspended between each of the wooden king poles filled with candles which looked amazing alongside the pretty fairy lights in the sailcloth canopy of the marquee at night.
