Quintessentially British marquee in Vogue

Métier has become a favourite of fashionistas and those in the know in the luxury leather bags market, so when they chose a Wills marquee for their corporate party in the Cotswolds, we were delighted … and even more so, when it was featured in Vogue!

The quintessentially British summer’s evening to celebrate the brand’s 5th birthday for friends of Métier was held in the grounds of a beautiful country private residence. Guests arrived through a red poppy and thyme-carpeted walkway, gathering for cocktails before with dinner served under a Wills canopy.

“We wanted to create different experiences as you moved through the different parts of the evening. We started with cocktails under a giant oak tree with soft lights hidden in the tree. Then we followed a festoon-lit path to the big white canopy nestled in the tall grass. For the table, we selected French bistro chairs against a crisp white tablecloth and big baskets of crudités for a touch of vibrant and bold colour. After dinner, we followed the path into a clearing with fire pits, hay bales topped with Métier cushions, and a maypole decorated in bright, warm colours.”
