If you are thinking about a marquee wedding where you can really stamp your personality on your big day but need to get to grips with what it might cost, you’re in the right place! Let’s face it, we’ve all got a budget to work within so we’ve costed up a few Wills options based on the most popular guest numbers so you can start getting an idea of the overall cost of a marquee wedding in the great outdoors!
100 guests
A Wills 9/23 marquee is the perfect size for 60-100 guests with room for a dance floor and a bar area. Fully decked out with matting, fairy lights, chiavari chairs, round tables, a parquet dance floor, the all important bar and not forgetting our iconic flying lights, you should budget for £8,000 for the marquee element.
Alongside the marquee, you’ll most likely need to factor in a catering tent, a luxury loo trailer and generator; although you may not need a generator or loos if you are at a venue and you would not need a catering tent if you are having or a buffet or food trucks. If you are having a band then you should check with them to see if the need a stage.
As a rule, for this size of wedding, then we suggest allowing at least a further £2,500 for the facilities element.
150 guests
A Wills 12/27 marquee is the perfect size for 120-160 guests with room for a dance floor and a bar area. Fully decked out with matting, fairy lights, chiavari chairs, round tables, a parquet dance floor, the all important bar and not forgetting our iconic flying lights, you should budget for £11,000 for the marquee element.
Again, if you need a catering tent, a luxury loo trailer and generator. For this size wedding allow at least a further £2,860 for the facilities element.
200 + guests
A Wills 12/42 marquee is the perfect size for 200-240 guests with room for a large dance floor and bar area. Fully decked out with matting, fairy lights, chiavari chairs, round tables, a parquet dance floor, the all important bar and not forgetting our iconic flying lights, you should budget for £16,000 for the marquee element.
The catering tent, a luxury loo trailer and generator for this size event allow at least a further £3,350 for the facilities element.
That’s the marquee and infrastructure sorted, but there are other things to factor into the cost of a marquee wedding that might usually be part of a venue ‘package’ such as the delicious food and drinks you’ll be offering your guests, florals and any venue hire costs. The cost of a marquee wedding for these elements are very much down to your choices and final numbers, so you’ll need to get some indicative prices from your chosen supplier.
